An introduction and overview of Citizen's stablecoin framework

Citizen Reserve is a novel framework for the proliferation of stablecoins on-chain. Citizen functions as a sovereign, decentralized autonomous reserve bank that manages the monetary policy of the ZUSD stablecoin. Our mission is to deliver the crypoteconomy with the superior stablecoin framework, iterating on the benefits and limitations of previous stablecoin primitives.

Citizen introduces a purpose-built, application-specific blockchain. The blockspace of this chain is dedicated to the most efficient execution of the functions of the application that secure the stablecoin's collateralization. The validator network of this blockchain is incentivized to secure and guarantee the functions that maintain the stablecoin’s over-collateralization. This framework allows Citizen to offer the most cost-effective and secure decentralized finance protocol for borrowing stablecoins against eligible collateral.

The ZUSD stablecoin is multi-collateralized, over-collateralized, and wholly redeemable for dollar value on-chain. Citizen is DAO-governed, and access to the core application functions is permissionless.
